Industrial Decarbonization — Fully Integrated. Completely Accountable.

We do not sell components. We engineer, procure, build, and operate energy systems that deliver measurable outcomes — from a single industrial power plant to full-facility hybridization across electrical and thermal loads.

Every solution on this page is available as a standalone service. Every solution is engineered to integrate.

One EPC partner. Full contractual accountability. From feasibility through to commissioning handover

Industrial Power Plants — Not Installations

The terminology matters. A correctly engineered, commercially structured self-consumption plant is a fixed-cost energy infrastructure asset — not a utility bill reduction measure.

SOLCAM designs, procures, and builds industrial solar PV systems from 100 kW to multi-MW scale, with the technical rigor and component bankability that financial institutions and insurance underwriters recognize.

Residential and domestic installations

System Scale

  • Self-consumption plants from 100 kW to multi-MW scale

Technology & Bankability

  • TOPCon and PERC technology selection benchmarked against Tier 1 bankability standards
  • Components recognized by financial institutions as bankable assets — relevant for project financing and insurance underwriting

Precision Sizing

  • Quarter-hourly load curve analysis — your system is sized to actual production demand, not an industry average
  • No oversizing. No undersizing. Both carry financial risk; we eliminate both.

Active EMS Integration

  • Direct SCADA and ERP communication — generation is optimized against your production schedule in real time
  • Not a monitoring app. An active Energy Management System that makes the installation operationally intelligent.

Structural & Fire Safety

  • Full UNE-EN structural and fire safety compliance — roof integrity and fire protocol requirements addressed as a standard scope item, not an afterthought

Legalization & Grid Connection

  • Full permitting and grid connection management under RDL 23/2020 — SOLCAM owns the Puesta en Marcha entirely
  • Financing structures: CAPEX | OPEX | PPA | Leasing | Energy-as-a-Service

The Thermal Challenge — Solved

Solar PV addresses your electrical load. For most industrial facilities, the thermal load — process heating, space conditioning, and industrial hot water — represents an equal or greater share of total energy cost.

Gas boilers are not a transitional technology. They are a stranded asset in a regulatory environment that is tightening around fossil fuel dependency.

SOLCAM’s aerothermal solutions replace gas infrastructure with high-temperature heat pump systems designed specifically for industrial process requirements — and engineered to operate in synergy with your on-site PV plant.

THE PV–AEROTHERMAL MULTIPLIER EFFECT

When PV generation peaks — midday, clear conditions — the aerothermal system is fueled directly by on-site generation.

Excess electrical output that would otherwise be exported to the grid at low feed-in rates is instead converted into thermal energy and stored.

The result is a thermal storage effect: your PV investment extends into your heating and cooling infrastructure, compounding the return on both.

System Applications

  • Process water heating and industrial hot water supply
  • Space heating and cooling (HVAC replacement or supplement)
  • Cold storage temperature control
  • Direct replacement of gas boilers — full fossil fuel switching

Technology

  • High-temperature industrial heat pumps — rated for the operating ranges that industrial processes require, not residential comfort temperatures
  • PV-aerothermal integration: generation peaks routed to thermal load, creating a storage effect without additional battery infrastructure

Regulatory & Incentive Framework

  • CAE (Certificados de Ahorro Energetico) management included — full process from eligibility assessment to submission
  • Sustitucion de Combustibles Fosiles compliance documentation provided as a standard deliverable
  • Descarbonizacion de la Demanda Termica Industrial — PNIEC 2030 alignment reporting included

Grid Independence — Engineered, Not Assumed

The grid instability events of May 2025 established a new baseline for industrial risk management.

A solar plant without storage delivers generation when the sun shines. A solar plant integrated with a Battery Energy Storage System delivers operational continuity when the grid does not.

SOLCAM designs and installs BESS solutions that address the full range of industrial storage requirements — from demand charge reduction and peak shaving to islanding capability and multi-hour backup during grid disruption.

Every BESS installation is designed as an integrated component of your energy architecture, not as an add-on.

Operational Functions
  • Demand charge reduction and peak shaving — reduces contracted power costs
  • Islanding capability — facility continues operating independently of the grid during outages
  • Self-consumption maximization — store surplus PV generation; deploy against peak tariff periods
  • Operational continuity during grid disruption — eliminates production downtime cost from unplanned outages
Integration
  • Full EMS integration from day one — BESS is managed as part of the unified energy architecture, not as a separate system
  • Compatible with new PV installations and with existing PV plants as a retrofit
Components
  • Tier 1 bankable battery systems — selected for financial institution recognition and insurance underwriting eligibility
  • Financing structures: CAPEX | OPEX | PPA | Leasing | Energy-as-a-Service

The Intelligence Layer — Before the Project Begins

Every bankable industrial energy project starts with data, not a proposal.

SOLCAM’s energy audit is a Technical-Financial Roadmap: a structured analysis of your facility’s actual load profile, cost structure, and decarbonization gap — delivered as an investment justification document, not a pre-sale formality.

The output gives your CFO the financial certainty to approve a capital allocation. It gives your engineering team a technically verified scope. And it gives SOLCAM the precision data required to design a system that is right for your facility — not for an industry benchmark.

WHAT IT COVERS

  • Quarter-hourly demand profiling and load curve analysis
  • Energy cost breakdown and tariff optimization
  • Self-consumption ratio and grid dependency modeling
  • Digital Twin simulation: system performance under future price and regulatory scenarios
  • CAE (Certificados de Ahorro Energetico) eligibility assessment
  • PNIEC 2030 and ESG compliance gap analysis

Capital Allocation Is a Board Decision — We Structure Around It

The right energy infrastructure investment should not be constrained by balance sheet inflexibility.

SOLCAM works with a pre-qualified network of financing partners to structure every project around your P&L requirements — whether the priority is full asset ownership, off-balance-sheet delivery, or a fixed long-term energy cost.

No single structure fits every facility. We assess the financial requirements of each project individually and present the structure that delivers the best risk-adjusted outcome for your organization.

CAPEX Ownership

Full asset ownership from day one. Maximum long-term ROI.

Eligible for public subsidy mechanisms including NextGenerationEU funding cycles and CAE incentives.

Recommended where the balance sheet supports it and asset valuation uplift is a priority.

OPEX / Energy-as-a-Service

Zero upfront capital. The infrastructure is financed, installed, and maintained by the financing partner.

The client pays a fixed monthly energy service fee — converting a variable OPEX exposure into a predictable fixed cost.

Off-balance-sheet treatment where applicable.

Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

The client purchases energy from the on-site plant at a fixed contracted rate over a defined term — typically 10 to 20 years.

The PPA rate is structured below current grid tariffs, providing immediate cost advantage and long-term price hedging.

The infrastructure is owned by the PPA counterparty.

Leasing

Structured equipment leasing with defined purchase option at end of term.

Preserves cash flow during the investment period while retaining the path to full ownership.

Accounting treatment to be confirmed with the client’s finance team.

Hybrid Structures

For projects combining multiple technologies (PV + BESS + Aerothermal), hybrid financing structures can be designed to optimize the treatment of each asset class independently.

SOLCAM coordinates the full financing architecture across the project scope.

NextGenerationEU & Subsidy Stacking

SOLCAM manages the identification and application process for applicable public funding — NextGenerationEU cycles, IDAE subsidies, ICAEN grants.

Subsidy availability is assessed at project scoping stage.

No fixed amounts are guaranteed; SOLCAM provides expert management of the application process and funding landscape.

The Installation Is the Beginning — Performance Is the Commitment

An industrial energy system depreciates operationally if it is not actively managed.

SOLCAM’s Operations & Maintenance service is designed to preserve system performance, protect the bankability of the asset, and give facility managers verified performance data for ESG reporting — throughout the full operational life of the installation.

Our O&M service is not a reactive maintenance contract. It is a proactive performance management program, structured to keep your energy infrastructure operating at or near its modeled output year on year.

Preventive Maintenance
  • Scheduled inspection and servicing cycles calibrated to the specific system architecture
  • Thermographic inspection to detect degradation before it becomes a performance loss
  • Inverter and BESS performance checks; firmware and parameter updates
EMS Monitoring & Reporting
  • Real-time generation and consumption monitoring via Active EMS integration
  • Monthly and annual performance reports — generation output, self-consumption ratio, grid independence metrics, CO2 avoidance calculations
  • Performance data formatted for ESG reporting integration — delivered as structured, auditable datasets
Corrective Maintenance
  • Response SLA defined at contract level — no ambiguity on downtime management
  • Component replacement managed under Tier 1 supplier agreements — no supply chain risk passed to the client
Asset Management
  • Warranty tracking and claim management for all installed components
  • Regulatory compliance maintenance — certifications and legalization documentation kept current throughout the asset lifecycle

One Partner. Full Responsibility. Zero Handoffs.

Industrial energy projects fail at the boundaries — the gap between the engineering firm that designed the system, the procurement agent that sourced the components, and the installer who built it.

When something goes wrong, the boundaries multiply the delay.

SOLCAM eliminates the boundaries. As the sole EPC contractor, we take full technical and contractual responsibility across the complete project lifecycle — from the first feasibility data pull to the commissioning handover document.

The client transfers the execution risk to a single entity. That entity is accountable for the outcome.
